VS Code Copilot freezes itself and causes VS Code to hang, requiring the window to be reopened.

• VS Code Version: 1.113.0 (Universal)
• OS Version: Darwin arm64 25.2.0
• Feature (e.g. agent/edit/ask mode): agent
• Selected model (e.g. GPT 4.1, Claude 3.7 Sonnet): Auto
• Logs: It was corrupted, and lost conversation terms, and no logs left.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Ask Vscode Copilot Chat to do something that may need to start a service.
2. If Copilot starts a command-line service, and that service outputs a large number of logs to the standard output, Copilot will quickly become unresponsive and cause VSCode to hang as well, requiring the VSCode window to be reopened. After reopening, some of the AI messages in the dialogue will be lost.
3. Additionally, if you ask Copilot to analyze the code in a big project, it may also hang and cause the VSCode window to freeze. This issue started occurring approximately within the past 10 days.

This issure report has pruned other unrelated questions that could affect its relevance.
