Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open the Copilot Chat panel in VS Code.
2.Click on the agent selector icon at the bottom left (usually showing "Local" or "Cloud").
3.In the dropdown menu, click on the "Codex" option.
4.Actual Result: The menu closes, but the agent does not switch to Codex; the selection remains unchanged and no error message is shown.
5.Expected Result: The chat agent should switch to Codex, and the icon/text in the bottom bar should update accordingly.
Additional Context:
I have confirmed that other agents like "Claude" or "Cloud" are working correctly, and I have an active Copilot subscription. Restarting VS Code does not resolve the issue.
