2. Trigger an action that calls openSearch() — e.g., open a workspace with recommended agent plugins, click "Show Plugins", or run the Plugins command

Fix Proposal

Already fixed in PR #309950 (merged 2026-04-14). The fix adds a null guard on viewPaneContainer before calling .search() and .focus(), and widens the type cast to IExtensionsViewPaneContainer | undefined.

Fix location: src/vs/workbench/contrib/extensions/browser/extensionsWorkbenchService.ts → openSearch()

The fix is on main but was not included in the build at commit 98b4d3e2. The error should stop appearing in subsequent Insiders builds.
