Copy paste and intellisense lag

Not sure how to reproduce but sometimes I try to copy paste something and then it shows the loading indicator inline and takes like 10 seconds to paste. Whenever this happens I also can't ctrl + Click on function calls in typescript to navigate my codebase. It also takes 15+ seconds to save a file, and code formatters (prettier) timeout. My system has plenty of ram, but it almost feels like it's out of ram. Only way to stop is to restart my computer.
I have like 5 files open some of them are a couple thousand lines. And i have a few terminals running. I tested it with disabling all extensions and still have the same problem. I am on linux now but this has happened to me on windows as well.

Can you please try collecting the TS Server log so we can investigate what is taking so long:

1. Set "typescript.tsserver.log": "verbose",
2. Restart VS Code and reproduce the problem
3. In VS Code, run the TypeScript: Open TS Server log command
4. This should open a large log file called tsserver.log

Look through that log file for errors or stack traces. If you can share the log, I can also take a look to see if anything stands out
