Agent Debug Logs stats resets

Having a long running session for hours, the stats keep increasing and as soon as I go back to the list of session and open the session again, all the numbers reset back to a much lower number including tool calls, input and output tokens.

This happened to my session 3-4 times and I don't have the correct token usage any more

• VS Code Version: 1.119
• OS Version: Win11
• Selected model: Opus 4.6

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Start a complex session like refactoring or porting
2. When the tokens reached +50M go back to session list
3. Open session again
4. Numbers are different

Thanks for creating this issue! It looks like you may be using an old version of VS Code; the latest stable release is 1.119.1. Please try upgrading to the latest version and checking whether this issue remains.

The issue is still present in 1.121.0, it completely destroys the stats if you reopen the session, all numbers dropped signifactnly maybe 5x less
