Currently, in VS Code version 1.120.0, the commit author's name is displayed next to the commit title in the source control graph in the scm (e.g. git) panel.
This clutters the view.
In the case of a solo repo, with a single author (that would be me), it's completely superfluous information. While I love my own name, I don't need to see it listed 50 times in the git graph. I know I'm the one who committed those changes, because, um, this is my private repo, and I'm the only contributor.
Thanks so much for considering this feature! 🐢
