Claude agent window model selection limited to Haiku 4.5 in VS Code Insiders

Description

When using Claude agent window feature in VS Code Insiders, the model selector is limited to only "Claude Haiku 4.5".

The normal Claude Code window displays all available models:

• Claude Sonnet 4.6
• Claude Sonnet 4.6 1M
• Claude Default (Opus 4.7)
• Claude Haiku 4.5

Expected behavior

The agent window model selector should show the same set of available models as the normal window.

Actual behavior

Only Haiku 4.5 is available in the agent window model dropdown.

Related issue: anthropics/claude-code#59136 — also reported in the Claude Code repository since the model selector is controlled by the Claude extension.

It looks to be currently linked to Copilot subscription instead of "harnessing" our local Claude Clade.

This would be an epic app to open up and allow it to be a generic agent harness.
