Add integrated terminal icon in activity bar

Would it be possible to have a shortcut (icon) to open the terminal from the activity bar like we have for the explorer, search, etc...

Currently the activity bar is restricted to toggle the viewlets. We have experimented with putting panel icons on there in the past and decided against it.
