In HTML the minor sign inside of tags is sometimes recognised as opening a new tag.
For Example:

The problem is that we override the attribute value as 'other' in order to allow quick suggest:

Seeing the same issue editing Vue templates. A line like <template v-if="foo > 0"> breaks vscode angle-bracket matching. Is a fix on the roadmap?

For example:

<template>
  <div v-if="foo > 0">
    <p>Some content</p>
  </div>
</template>

1. Place the cursor on 'foo' and see that the gt bracket is incorrectly matched to the opening bracket of the div.
2. Place the cursor at the end of the line <template> and see that the <p> brackets are incorrectly highlighted, a consequence of (1).
3. Change the v-if condition by replacing "colindex > 0" with "colindex == 0" and everything's fixed.
4. Change the v-if condition by replacing "colindex > 0" with "colindex < 0" also breaks bracket matching.

This issue also seems to break editor.action.smartSelect.expand and editor.action.smartSelect.shrink.
