iOS/iPadOS 27 Reminder: Stay Up-To-Date

As developers prepare for the release of iOS/iPadOS 27, we'd like to share this friendly reminder to keep your iOS/iPadOS applications up-to-date with the latest available release of the Intune MAM SDK. While our guidance to partners and customers is always to stay current with SDK releases, this is especially important during this time of year, where updates may contain critical fixes and updates needed to support the new iOS/iPadOS releases on day-0 of their release to production. As we test each Beta release of iOS/iPadOS 27 published over the summer, it is possible new required updates may be discovered, so we recommend periodically checking for any new releases of the Intune iOS MAM SDK and upgrading your app as soon as possible.

Some reminders and notes on compatibility with iOS/iPadOS 27 and Xcode 27:

• Any updates required to support iOS/iPadOS 27 will NOT be backported to any 20.x SDK release. MAM SDK 20.x is intended for apps compiled with Xcode 16. Apple no longer accepts app store submissions compiled with Xcode 16. Ensure your app is compiled with Xcode 26 and is up-to-date with the latest available 21.x release of the iOS Intune MAM SDK ahead of the production release of iOS/iPadOS 27.
• Linking MAM SDK version 21.x and compiling your app with Xcode 27 is unsupported.
• For app developers interested in compiling with Xcode 27, the Intune iOS MAM team plans to provide an Xcode 27-compatible update in our next major SDK version update: version 22.x. We will work to publish this release as soon as possible once the Xcode 27 release candidate build is published (since Apple have historically alowed app store submissions compiled using release candidate builds of Xcode).
