DadCloner 1.0 Beta

Beta release for DadCloner 1.0.

Highlights:

• Settings for schedule changes, pause, login item, and re-picking drives
• Tested core package for rsync parsing, schedule math, orphan scanning, and log rotation
• Failure reasons surfaced in the menu bar popover
• Sparkle update support added, but appcast is not enabled for this beta

Build note: the attached app zip is Developer ID signed, but notarization is pending because the local notarytool profile was not configured during release prep.

DadCloner 0.1 Beta

Initial public beta for Apple Silicon Macs.

This release is signed, notarized, stapled, and includes the DadCloner app icon: old man plus hard drive, because that is the app.

Changes in this beta:

• Scheduled external-drive backups with source/backup drive UUID checks.
• Deleted source files are preserved under DadCloner_Archive instead of being deleted from the backup.
• Backup safety hardening: free-space preflight, visible failure state, catch-up sync after missed schedules, and safer rsync behavior.
• Menu bar status reflects drive and sync state more accurately.
• GitHub README and project metadata explain the use case, limitations, and beta status.

Known beta notes:

• Apple Silicon only for now because the bundled rsync helper is arm64.
• Test with non-critical folders/drives before trusting it with irreplaceable data.
