Been using playwright via docker, mostly for application testing and producing screenshots for documentation - mostly manual calls or via agent

I'm encountering an issue when trying to use the Copilot agent with expect-cli.

Error:

AcpAdapterNotFoundError: ACP adapter not found: @github/copilot
Cannot find package root for @github/copilot

Environment:

• Node: v24.14.1 (via nvm)
• expect-cli: v0.0.18
• OS: Linux (WSL)
• Copilot CLI: installed and working (copilot suggest works correctly)

Steps to reproduce:

1. Run expect --headed -y -a copilot -m "test the contact form"
2. The command fails immediately with the error above

Question:
Is the Copilot agent currently supported?
If so, is there an additional package or setup step required to enable it?

I fixed the issue. copilot-cli was on a different node version than expect that's why this happened

@aidenybai It seems that running the same prompt with -a copilot instead of -a claude doesn't yield a replays folder or output.

@Abdullah-Haytham03 can you confirm in your testing that a replays folder is created and populated?

GitHub Copilot is already supported as an agent. You can use it with:

npm install -g @github/copilot
expect-cli -a copilot -m "test the login flow" -y

It requires gh auth token for authentication. The implementation is at packages/agent/src/acp-client.ts (AcpAdapter.layerCopilot).
