v4 Beta 1 — What's working on your Advantage Air system?

Homebridge Advantage Air v4 Beta 1 is finally here! 🎉

After years of maintaining the original Cmd4-based plugin, I’m excited to have a completely rebuilt, standalone native Homebridge plugin out in the wild.

Now I’d love to hear how it’s working on your systems!

Even if everything is working perfectly, please let me know! Positive feedback is just as valuable as bug reports, especially while we’re confirming compatibility across different Advantage Air controllers.

What would be helpful?

If you’ve installed homebridge-advantageair@4.0.0-beta.1, let us know:

• Controller: e-zone, MyAir, MyPlace, etc.
• Environment: Homebridge and Node.js versions.
• Features tested: Air conditioning, zones, fan speeds, MyZone, timers, MyPlace lights, etc.
• Experience: What’s working, what’s not, or anything you’ve noticed.

No need for a detailed report if everything is working. A quick confirmation is greatly appreciated!

Feel free to discuss your experience here, but please open a separate GitHub Issue for reproducible bugs so we can properly track and resolve them.

Please don’t share passwords, access tokens or other sensitive configuration details.

🚀 v4.0.0-beta.2 is now available!

A quick update for everyone following the v4 beta testing!

Beta 2 is now available on npm and through the Homebridge UI. 🎉

This is a small refinement release following our initial public beta:

• Cleaner Settings interface: Removed the unnecessary MyPlace light exclusion editor from the Homebridge configuration page.
• Automatic light discovery remains unchanged: Advanced exclusions are still available through manual JSON configuration.
• Documentation and discoverability improvements: Updated our installation guidance, package metadata and npm search keywords.

There are no changes to runtime behaviour or existing accessory identities in this release.

You can update by selecting 4.0.0-beta.2 from the available versions in Homebridge, or by enabling beta updates.

I'm particularly interested in feedback from people using different Advantage Air controllers and firmware versions, along with anyone testing MyPlace lighting.
