The Jpos116Dummy module will be extended to support all device classes specified in UPOS 1.16.1 (OMG Document Number dtc/22-03-22). However, since no standard Const, Service116 and Control116 interfaces exist, the corresponding implementations might be objects to be changed when a final javapos 1.16 version will be delivered.

JavaPOS-SPF will be prepared to support the new device classes specified in UPOS 1.16: DeviceMonitor, GestureControl, GraphicDisplay, IndividualRecognition, SoundPlayer, SoundRecorder, SpeechSynthesis, VideoCapture and VoiceRecognition.

Support for concurrent asynchronous output as specified for SoundPlayer and GraphicDisplay will be added.

Support for device class GraphicDisplay will be added. Might be of interest to vendors of handheld terminals in gastronomic environments.

Support for further new device classes might be added, too.
