Let's make this a stable repo that gets built and has some nice docs explaining its position in the ecosystem.

@gnumonik I like your #6 especially the docs and other goodies. Would you mind taking some time to run through and do some cosmetics on the repo:

• Tidy up the Cabal file and align with MLabs standards (especially about implicit imports)
• Run through the hs files and make sure no pragmas are redundantly stated (some extensions are specified as default)
• Put STANDARDS.md in the repo
• Add documentation

The repo is in a pretty good shape, closing this
