Configuration option to limit number of items to download

I'd like to add a configuration option to limit the number of new items to download. One of the podcasts I listen to has hundreds of items in its feed, but I'm only interested in the latest episodes and would like to avoid downloading the whole history.

The setting could be applied globally or per-channel.

As for names, I'm thinking something like download_limit or max_items.

Is this something you'd be interested in integrating into the project?
