This repository contains code and documentation for a project developed during the Modeling and Simulation of Systems course at AGH University of Science and Technology.
The main objective of the project is to design and implement an algorithm for determining the optimal placement of sensors for leak detection in water distribution network based on the following research paper Pressure Sensor Placement for Leak Localization Using Simulated Annealing with Hyperparameter Optimization. In our work, we use the EPANET simulator to perform hydraulic simulations, generate synthetic data, and evaluate sensor placement strategies for leak detection.
