Editing System files and packages install, help please

Good morning, I just arrived. A dear Romanian friend of mine, a veteran of the Sabayon team, told me about Mocaccino, and I couldn't resist downloading it. I installed it yesterday, read all the documentation (I think), and managed to install the Nvidia driver and a few other packages. As far as I understand, Mocaccino is different from traditional distros because it's virtually immutable. This means that certain changes require a procedure I'm not familiar with. I'd appreciate it if someone could help me with the following questions:

• How to install Microsoft fonts (I don't see them in the repositories)
• How to change the countdown timer on GRUB (I edited /etc/default/grub, but the change hasn't worked, as I feared)
• How to get sudo without a password (even editing sudo/visudo didn't work)
• If a package isn't available with luet (e.g., Abiword), how can I get it? (I'd rather avoid Flatpack and the like; I prefer the traditional installation. So, these are the difficulties I've encountered so far that I can't solve. I wrote a message on Discord but no one responded, so I thought I'd post here. Thank you very much for your attention. About the grub thing. Did you run sudo grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg after making the change to the configuration in /etc/default/grub?

Concerning the fonts we don't distribute, they can be installed at user level as in any linux desktop environment, by using that DE means.
