Hello. I am new on MocaccinoOS 26.06. I have trouble with add a DCP-J4110DW Brother. The OS find it, i select a driver and i add it. but i receive an error invalid argument.
Can you help me ?

Hello there. I'm not the expert on printers so I asked Claude.ai for advise about this issue:

The issue is visible in your journalctl screenshot. The KDE print manager auto-discovered your printer but selected the LPD protocol endpoint (lpd://BRW1C3E84034F3D/BINARY_P1), while the driverless/IPP Everywhere driver requires IPP. That mismatch causes the "Argument invalide" error.

To fix this, bypass the KDE print manager and add the printer via the command line:

lpadmin -p DCP-J4110DW -E -v ipp://BRW1C3E84034F3D.local/ipp/print -m everywhere

Alternatively you can use the CUPS web interface at http://localhost:631/admin → "Add Printer" → choose "Internet Printing Protocol (ipp)" → enter ipp://BRW1C3E84034F3D.local/ipp/print manually, then select "IPP Everywhere" as the driver.

Also make sure avahi-daemon is running:
systemctl status avahi-daemon

This is a known issue with the KDE print manager incorrectly preferring the LPD endpoint over IPP during auto-discovery. The command line approach should work reliably.
