The MCP team would like to merge the specification docs and these user-facing MCP docs into one. However, at the moment, they are licensed differently, which would complicate a merger: all MCP repos are MIT licensed except this one, which is CC-BY-4.0.
This PR relicenses the documentation under MIT to match everything else, and permit these docs to be combined with the spec docs. As MIT is a similarly permissive license to CC-BY, we believe it unlikely that anyone will object to the change, but would still like to solicit 👍 or 👎 from folks who have made substantive contributions to the docs.
