Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
When searching past conversations, results are returned across all projects without any project-level distinction. I manage multiple client matters in separate projects, so irrelevant conversations from other projects appear mixed in with the results I need. This forces me to manually sift through unrelated results every time I search.
Describe the solution you'd like
Search results should be grouped and displayed by project. Specifically:
Conversations belonging to a project should appear nested under that project folder in the search results view
Conversations not belonging to any project should be displayed in a separate ungrouped section
This way, users can immediately understand the project context of each result without having to open individual conversations to check where they belong.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Using highly specific keywords to narrow results manually — but this is unreliable when similar topics appear across multiple projects, which is common in professional use cases.
Additional context
This is particularly important for professional users (e.g., legal, accounting, consulting) who use Claude Projects to segment client matters. In those workflows, cross-project search noise is not a minor inconvenience — it undermines the purpose of the project structure itself. Project-scoped grouping in search results would make the existing Projects feature significantly more useful for this audience.
