`mcp.server.fastmcp` vs `fastmcp`

Question

I'm confused by the import from mcp.server.fastmcp vs the dedicated fastmcp?

Are these the same project or to totally different things. Just wondering because I've been building with fastmcp, but recently was trying to submit a PR on a project that uses mcp.server.fastmcp and I notice the interfaces weren't quite the same (some missing properties).

Can someone explain what's going on?

Beyond the Protocol
