My modrinth.exe is gone after exiting out of it

i recently closed modrinth and now the shortcut or exe isnt on my desktop anymore

We understand that it might appear that Modrinth App has uninstalled itself, this is not the case. In 0.10.4, app installation moved from being a global installation to per-user installation, as a result of this, some shortcuts will have broken and been automatically removed by your Operating System.

You can either manually recreate the shortcuts or re-run the installer from the Modrinth website.

How to manually recreate the shortcuts:

1. Go to %localappdata%\Modrinth App\Modrinth App.exe
2. Right click the file -> Send to desktop (create shortcut)
3. Move the shortcut to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

If you're struggling with the above, it's best to just re-run the installer, your app's data will be safe.
