Modrinth app not opening

Describe the bug

So, i am on linux,fedora i download it from software(microsoft store) i try to open it, nothing, it opens and immediately closes, i tried, rpm, appimage nothing, sudo, terminal, it just doesnt do anything please help.

Same for me on Bazziite.
Ok update I just tried the newest version (0.10.19) not from flatpak/flathub but the AppImage from the website.
And that worked. Sooo maybe if we just wait for an update to the flathub repo, the issue is fixed?

This is probably the WebKit error thing, if you launch it with the terminal you can see further details. If you installed the flatpack version it should launch with this run command:

flatpak run --env=GSK_RENDERER=gl --env=WEBKIT_DISABLE_DMABUF_RENDERER=1 org.modrinth.Modrinth

(If this works well enough, the you can make it permanent, by replacing the exec command in the .desktop file with that one. The flatpak .desktop files should be in /var/lib/flatpak/exports/share/applications/)
Though this at least in my case meant pretty terrible app performance. For anyone on arch installing using the aur package worked for me.

I never found anything useful on that, so thanks figuring it out.

However I found that running the appimage with version 0.10.19 is slightly better, due to performance issues on both versions. The appimage is just a bit less laggy, which is worth the inconvenience of appimages for me.

The app is great, I appreciate not having to fiddle with MC Launcher anymore, but it's a bit crazy that the Linux version has so many problems:

• Can't launch it unless you know your shit like HartzIV.
• Really bad performance on both flatpak and appimage, second being slightly less laggy as if they know and try to fix it.
• When clicking the three-vertical-dot menu of an instance, both just crash.

Ok found this disclaimer text on the download page, which explains the situation a bit:
The Linux versions of Modrinth App are known to have issues on certain systems and configurations. If Modrinth App is unstable on your system, we encourage you to try other apps like Prism Launcher to easily install Modrinth content.
