Hi AIRI community,
Wanted to share Anime Agent, a desktop Live2D AI companion built with Electron + TypeScript. It's a fork of Cyrene-Agent (all credit to the original author for the core engineering) with a Character Pack system added on top — swap the name, personality, speech style, avatar, and Live2D model as a single unit. Ships with a generic, IP-free example pack by default, or bring your own.
A few things that might be of interest here:
Just cut our first packaged release (Windows installer + macOS DMG/ZIP, marked pre-release for now):

How does this compare to AIRI?
Both are open, self-hosted "living companion" projects, but the focus differs a bit:
So AIRI leans toward being a general "digital living being" that can inhabit games, streams, and chat platforms, built web-first; Anime Agent leans toward being a task-focused desktop agent (coding, notes, everyday tools) wearing a Live2D character skin you can swap out. Different tradeoffs, similar spirit — happy to compare notes on memory systems, TTS/ASR pipelines, or Live2D rendering if anyone's interested!
Thanks for building in the open 💗
