Show Active Windows

A minimal vibecoded GNOME Shell extension that displays icons for all open windows in the current workspace on your top panel.

Installation

Manual

1. Download or clone this repository.
2. Copy the folder show-active-windows@mohwald to ~/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions/.
3. Restart GNOME Shell (Alt+F2, type r, Enter) or log out and log back in.
4. Enable the extension using GNOME Extensions or Tweaks.

Compatibility

Tested with GNOME Shell version 48.
