Release list
v0.4.0
✨ Features
- use the shared Steam notification style with the NVIDIA icon (moi952)
🐛 Bug Fixes
- support Main driver staging and guard EFI shutdown migration (60plus)
Omit empty Arch pin arguments and recognize Valve's complete Main finalizer
loop before inserting the driver repair hook.
Arm a verified runtime systemd override before staging on the affected Main
implementation. Keep EFI mounts in a private namespace during shutdown,
preserve custom overrides, and let the guard expire automatically at reboot.
Validate with 109 Python tests, namespace probes, frontend checks, and a real
Main 610-to-615 Decky update and reboot on a 5 GiB read-only root. Record the
hardware scope and remaining unrelated preparation warnings. - migrate legacy builds and collect only unpinned driver caches (60plus)
🔧 Chores
- add the 0.4.0 what's new entry (moi952)
- reset version to 0.3.0 for the 0.4.0 release (moi952)
- use upstream decky-ui-kit 0.6.1 without local patch (60plus)
- prepare SteamOS adaptation for upstream (60plus)
- v0.4.0-standalone.9 (60plus)
📦 Other
- Merge pull request #2 from 60plus/pr/steamos-ab-upstream (moi952)
Support SteamOS A/B driver updates without requiring an 8 GiB root - Restore plugin self-updates and retain upstream README structure (60plus)
- Adapt plugin to standalone SteamOS A/B driver updates (60plus)
v0.3.0
✨ Features
- build NVIDIA driver versions Arch hasn't packaged yet (moi952)
Adds a separate build path (bin/steamos-nvidia-build.sh +
custom_build.py) that clones Arch's packaging repos, bumps pkgver,
and builds under a throwaway user in the existing overlay chroot.
Builds are cached under /home/.steamos-nvidia-custom-builds, and
pin_pkg checks that cache before hitting the network.
The version dropdown merges Arch, cached, and not-yet-built
versions into one sorted list, checks buildability before enabling
Install, and chains build -> install on a single click. - adopt decky-plugin-toolkit for settings & self-update (moi952)
Replace the plugin's own update-check code with the shared
decky-plugin-toolkit, and add a Settings view (gear button) for it,
like decky-quick-tab already does. Driver settings stay on the main
panel. Also fixes the What's New banner width and bumps to 0.3.0.
🐛 Bug Fixes
- use pnpm version --message and --no-git-checks (moi952)
pnpm's version command no longer accepts the -m shorthand, and -- -m
doesn't work either (pnpm forwards the literal -- to npm, which then
rejects it as an extra positional argument). --message is the long
form that works.
--no-git-checks skips pnpm's own working-tree-clean check, which was
tripping on the changelog step's untracked artifact/ dir before this
step ran. Same fix already used in decky-proton-launch and
decky-quick-tab.
📦 Other
- Add github download and stars indicators (moi952)
- Add Ko-fi username to FUNDING.yml (moi952)
Added Ko-fi username for funding support.
v0.2.2
🐛 Bug Fixes
- harden curl retries and warn on undersized rootfs before install (moi952)
set -e was silently killing the curl retry loops on any transient
failure. Also warn upfront if rootfs looks under 8GiB, and drop the
inaccurate "10-20 min" build estimate.
v0.2.1
🐛 Bug Fixes
- include bin/ in packaged plugin zip and harden version list fallback (moi952)
- release.yml and build.yml never copied bin/steamos-nvidia-update.sh
into the packaged zip, so installing from a GitHub release (including
via the new self-update button) left the script missing entirely —
breaking both the version dropdown and driver installs. - index.tsx now derives the collapsed version list from the detailed
one whenever list_driver_versions() comes back empty, so a single
failing/missing script can't fully blank the picker again.
- release.yml and build.yml never copied bin/steamos-nvidia-update.sh
v0.2.0
✨ Features
- add self-update system and fix channel-scoped update detection (moi952)
- Fix: the driver update badge/toast always compared against Arch's
plain stable repo, ignoring the user's chosen NVIDIA channel
(recommended/NFB/beta). Now scoped via computeChannelLatest. - Add a top banner and a collapsible panel section that check GitHub
releases for a newer plugin build and install it in one click via
Decky Loader's own installer (utilities/install_plugin), the same
mechanism the Decky plugin store itself uses.
