We're releasing Universal Code v1.0.0. 🌱

This is a simple, semantically versioned ethical foundation intended for AI agents, models, and systems. It was designed to be referenceable in system prompts, auditable by humans, and clear enough that agents can reason about it.

Core structure

• 🛡️ Supreme Principle (absolute): Prevent physical harm to humans (including self-harm) through action or inaction.
• 🌍 An open list of Foundational Principles drawn from the overlapping moral core of major world traditions (Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Confucianism, Taoism, Stoicism, and secular humanist ethics).
• 📌 Explicit conflict-resolution rules and implementation notes (including dual-approval expectations for high-impact scripts).

The nature principle ("Live in harmony with the natural world") carries a deliberate Eastern emphasis — interdependence, balance, and restraint rather than domination — while remaining compatible with stewardship concepts found elsewhere. This was an intentional design choice. ✨
