llama-swap - best tool ever!
I'm always trying to spread the word about it where I can on huggingface, on itsfoss.com, github..., as it could help so many people emancipate from the ollama prison and their ungrateful devs (I also talked many times about it - https://huggingface.co/owao/Nanbeige4.2-3B-GGUF#why-ollama-is-bad)!
Not so much success so far, but inevitably, buzz is gonna pop at some time...! With this new Help feature, the barrier for a user to write their first config file lowered so much!! Though they need to write a config file first. Ah.

I've finally accepted that writing documentation will never be prioritized over interesting engineering things.

@lainedfles thanks also again for your post above exposing the shameless behavior ollama team has been having for some times now toward llama.cpp, because you motivated me to look AGAIN for an alternative work...
AND I FOUND IT! I don't know how I could have missed it until now: llama-swap!
I just finished moved all my GGUFs library and now: goodbye ollama! No more blobs! And now I'm happier than ever! 🙏
...now I just save my yaml, the server restarts automatically with the --watch-config flag, and that's done!

PS2: For those interested, the yaml is a llama-swap config file which I can only recommend for those wanting to quit ollama after they turned dark side! It's also far better in the sense it supports any engine! ...Don't break you gguf into non exportable blobs, split your configs in many "modelfiles", here you have only one and are good to go!

PS: as I always recommend, give a try to llama-swap to manage all your models, it handles any inference engine (llama-cpp, sglang, vllm, etc.). You just have 1 config file and that's all, and the servers restart automatically when editing this file. ...Do yourself a favor and ditch out ollama...!
If anyone is interested, I'll be more than happy to share my config file and llama-swap cmd as a starting point example!

I had fun scrapping it back testing Sitegeist which is awesome for quick tasks, avoids spinning a CDP tool and using an external harness, really practical for when you need it at hand at any time, recommend! just it's not clear if the dev is still ongoing and I had a hard time trying to add custom OpenAI support building the extension since it was based on an old pi version as agentic backend, that was a mess so I ended up monkey patching the built 200000+ lines sidepanel.js file from the latest release zip! but was worth it. It's been written by https://mariozechner.at the guy behind pi (i like their blog posts, always funny and interesting times to read!). I think https://parchi.ai/ is an attempt to rewrite it but dev still ongoing, bugs and all in the current state
