Saber (Unofficial Fork) - v1.29.3

This is a customized build of Saber, focusing on usability improvements and privacy.

Key Features & changes

UI/UX Improvements

  • Canvas Gesture Lock: Added a lock button to the HUD. When active, horizontal scrolling is disabled (vertical only), preventing accidental panning while writing with zoom.
  • Toolbar Sizing: You can now choose between Small, Medium, and Large toolbar sizes in settings to better fit your screen.
  • Vertical Scrollbar: Added a draggable vertical scrollbar on the right side of the editor for quicker navigation through long notes.
  • Folder Creation: The "New Folder" button has been moved to the main floating action button (FAB) for easier access, and it is now available in the root directory as well.
  • Clean Previews: Note previews now force single-line titles to keep the grid tidy.

Privacy & Security

  • Telemetry Disabled: Sentry telemetry has been hard-disabled. The settings menu clearly indicates this status, and the app is configured with a fake DSN to ensure no data is ever sent to external diagnostic servers.

Technical

  • Parallel Installation: The application ID has been changed to com.adilhanney.saber.fork, allowing you to install this version alongside the original Saber app without conflicts.
  • Provider Fix: Resolved potential provider authority conflicts for side-by-side installation.
