Asphalt 5 Native v2.3.2
Asphalt 5 Native v2.3.2
- Fixed missing in-game audio on 3.4.1. Its data pack stores the Ogg
Vorbis sound assets asraw_*.glsnd, while the audio bridge only looked
forraw_*.ogg. Both extensions are now loaded, including the
background sound predecode cache.
Asphalt 5 Native v2.3.1
Asphalt 5 Native v2.3.1
- Fixed career progress not saving on 3.3.7 and 3.4.1. New save files were
being routed to a fallback folder that did not exist, sofopen("wb")
failed silently. Saves now go to the current build's data folder
(gamefiles/GloftA5HD337orgamefiles/GloftA5HD341). - Added the 3.4.1 save package path
(com.gameloft.android.GAND.GloftA5HD) to the file mapping.
Asphalt 5 Native v2.3.0
Asphalt 5 Native v2.3.0
- Added a native Display Settings page under OPTIONS -> VIDEO. The Camera
row now opens it; the camera can still be changed in a race with the
configured Camera button. - Resolution: monitor-native by default, with the monitor's modes plus
common 720p, 1080p, 16:10, 1440p, ultrawide and 4K sizes. The chosen mode
is presented as a borderless, centred window. Applying a different
resolution asks to restart the game, then relaunches it automatically. - Aspect: Fit (black bars, preserves the game's logical aspect) or Stretch.
Aspect and frame-rate changes apply immediately without a restart. - Frame rate: Monitor / VSync (shows the current refresh rate) or manual
30/60/75/90/120/144/165/240 FPS. - Display settings persist in
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Asphalt5\input.ini; F2 opens
the same display page directly. - Fixed the 3.3.7 Display Settings row click area so a normal centre click
opens the page. - The game's startup resolution now defaults to the monitor's native mode
instead of a 1080p cap.
Asphalt 5 Native v2.2.2
Asphalt 5 Native v2.2.2
- Fixed the white loading and Options backgrounds on 3.4.1. The JNI
local-ref cleanup added after v2.0.1 freed strings and small arrays that
the 3.4.1 code still reads after DeleteLocalRef. Strings are now kept, and
arrays are freed only after the current menu/race phase has finished. - Fixed the repeated-race heap exhaustion without bringing the 3.4.1
background failure back: menu arrays are released when a race starts,
race arrays are released 120 frames after the race ends, and the heap is
compacted at the same point. - Verified by the maintainer through more than 10 consecutive races on
3.4.1.
Asphalt 5 Native v2.2.1
Asphalt 5 Native v2.2.1
- Fixed background/unfocused input. The game no longer polls keyboard,
mouse, XInput or DirectInput while another application is in the
foreground, so menu clicks and sounds no longer fire in the background.
Held inputs are released on focus loss and ignored until released after
focus returns.
Asphalt 5 Native v2.2.0
Asphalt 5 Native v2.2.0
- Added the PC input mapper. Open it with F1 or OPTIONS -> CONTROLS ->
CONFIGURE INPUT from the main options or the pause menu, then click a
keyboard or controller cell and press the key, button or axis you want.
Bindings save immediately. - Supports keyboard, XInput controllers and generic DirectInput controllers,
wheels, pedals and joysticks. Axes and POV hats can be bound as well as
buttons. - Seven actions can be rebound: steer left/right, accelerate, brake, nitro,
camera and pause. A binding can be cleared with Delete; Reset Defaults and
Done are in the overlay. - Bindings are stored in
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Asphalt5\input.ini; the file is
created with defaults on first launch. - The overlay owns the mouse and keyboard while open, so clicking a binding
does not change stock options underneath. - Xbox pads are handled through XInput only; their legacy DirectInput
duplicate is skipped. A controller A press can be bound by pressing A,
releasing it and pressing it again. B/Start/Back do not close the mapper. - The stock AUTO ACCELERATE row is available again and is controlled by the
game itself. Menus use control mode 1 so the row is not disabled; races
still switch to the mode-2 button layout. The mapper overlay's separate
Auto Accelerate button andauto_acceleratesetting were removed. - CONFIGURE INPUT opens the mapper from the pause-menu Controls page as well
as from the main Options page. - 3.3.7: keyboard/gamepad accelerate and brake feed the GamePad key mask
directly because that build no longer maps the D-pad keycodes. The race
pause button hotzone uses the real 1024x600 layout instead of the 854x480
corner test. - The phone touch buttons are hidden every frame during a race, so resuming
from pause no longer flashes them. - All three builds statically link the pthread runtime, so
libwinpthread-1.dllis no longer required. - Fixed the 854x480 Controls-page row geometry used by 3.2.4 and 3.4.1.
- Guarded the stock Controls-row DoAction so the opening click cannot cycle
ACCELEROMETER/BUTTONS behind the overlay. - Tested by the maintainer on 3.2.4, 3.3.7 and 3.4.1: mapper entry, capture,
persistence, stock Auto Accelerate, pause-menu entry and touch-button
hiding.
Asphalt 5 Native v2.1.0 - PC touch overlay hidden
Asphalt 5 Native 2.1.0
PC quality-of-life update: the phone's on-screen pedals, brake and nitro buttons are hidden during races.
The engine keeps the HUD button objects and their state; only their rectangles move off-screen. So:
- keyboard steering, acceleration and brake still work
- mouse steering and brake zones still work
- optional XInput gamepad still works
- Space still fires nitro
Set RECOMP_SHOW_TOUCH=1 to show the original touch overlay.
Verified by the maintainer on all three supported builds (3.2.4 SE, 3.3.7 Galaxy Tab and 3.4.1 Market/Motorola): buttons hidden, HUD otherwise normal, steering/brake working and Space nitro firing.
Includes the v2.0.3 repeated-race heap fix and the v2.0.1 Defender-safe builder packaging. The setup remains builder-only; installed folders contain only Asphalt5.exe and gamefiles\.

Asphalt 5 Native v2.0.3 - Repeated-race heap fix
Asphalt 5 Native 2.0.3
Final fix for the crash after repeated races.
The crash was guest heap exhaustion:
[guest] heap exhausted (n=1024012 top=3ffab940 total=000fa020)
The shared JNI/host heap layer leaked local strings and resource byte arrays each race. The fix:
DeleteLocalRefreleases guest strings and byte arrays.- The heap coalesces adjacent free blocks and drops trailing free space.
- A lightweight compaction runs every 600 frames so the free lists stay reusable.
- Verified by the maintainer through 12 consecutive quick races on 3.3.7 without a crash.
- Shared by 3.2.4, 3.3.7 and 3.4.1.
The v2.0.1 packaging fix is included: the embedded builder payload is obfuscated and Microsoft Defender reports the setup clean.
Installed folders still contain only Asphalt5.exe and gamefiles\.

Asphalt 5 Native v2.0.1 - Defender false-positive fix
Asphalt 5 Native 2.0.1
Microsoft Defender false-positive fix for the setup.
The v2.0.0 Asphalt5-Setup.exe was detected as Program:Win32/Wacapew.A!ml because the embedded builder ZIP exposed its bundled executables to Defender's ML scanner. The payload is now XOR-obfuscated as a resource and decoded in memory during installation. The extracted compiler, translator and host sources are unchanged.
- Microsoft Defender custom scan: no threats on the setup.
- Installer GUI is unchanged: same graphical GameInstaller, typography and embedded UI.
- Builds 3.2.4, 3.3.7 and 3.4.1 from the user's own APK.
- Installed folder remains only Asphalt5.exe + gamefiles.

Note
The setup is still unsigned. Signing it with an Authenticode certificate is recommended for SmartScreen reputation and to make future false positives less likely.
Asphalt 5 Native v1.4.0 - 3.3.7 Support & Dual-APK Setup
Asphalt 5 Native 1.4 adds full support for the 3.3.7 Galaxy Tab (PVRT) build alongside the existing 3.4.1 build.
Highlights
- One setup, two APKs —
Asphalt5-Setup.exereads the engine from your own APK, detects 3.4.1 or 3.3.7, and installs the matching native host automatically. - 3.3.7 support
- Verified menu, career, race HUD/tutorial and gameplay at 1920x1080.
- First-run installer downloads the APK's own 345-file PVRT data pack (138.8 MB compressed, 220.9 MB installed).
- Driving controls fixed: left/right, brake and nitro inject the engine's GamePad masks directly; Esc is pause/back.
- Sound and movie playback fixed for the 3.3.7 data layout.
- Installer at 1080p fixed — the first-run UI now scales to the window, mouse coordinates map into the logical 1024x600 layout, and the full button rectangles are clickable.
- 3.4.1 unchanged — the original 854x480 layout and 1920x1080 default remain.
Requirements
- Windows 10/11 x64
- Your legally owned Asphalt 5 3.4.1 or 3.3.7 APK
- Internet access on first launch (the game's original installer downloads the data; the setup itself does not)
First launch
The original Gameloft installer downloads the data into sdcard\gameloft\games\asphalt5\. Keep the window open while it downloads.
