Chiming in from my experience so far messing with Omarcachy...
You may be able to hack something together by further editing the installation script, but at that point you might as well consider installing Hyprland on Cachy yourself and steal whichever configurations you like out of the Omarchy repo. I highly doubt Omarchy will play nice with multiple desktop environments. |

If you install CachyOS with Hyprland (which is what I did,) CachyOS will install SDDM as the login manager. My omarchy-on-cachyos script will not disrupt this, nor will future Omarchy updates. This will allow you to install other desktop environments, which you can then login to via SDDM. However, running multiple desktop environments from the same user is generally discouraged with Hyprland. A better solution would be to create a different user for each desktop environment you want to run. This ensures environment variables do not clash. |
Uh oh!

I currently have CachyOS with Cosmic Desktop setup
A couple questions that weren't addressed on the main repo readme pls:
Do you need to have Hyprland installed first before installing this repo's version of CachyOS Omarchy?
Can you "dual boot" environments with Omarchy on CachyOS i.e. when I boot up into CachyOS there's an option top left in the login page where I can select environments from a drop-down in order to use them if they are installed (e.g. Cosmic, KDE etc.). Will Omarchy be in this drop-down?
