Description
Hello! Thank you for the work you've done! The project turned out to be very interesting, and my colleagues and I liked it. I particularly appreciated the ease of installation, which allows for very quick start using it in self-host mode. However, during testing, we encountered some issues, so we decided to ask a few questions.
1. Notifications.
This is probably the main issue. When we started testing, we encountered an obvious problem - notifications are not arriving. Neither push nor sound notifications. Since the application is considered a "work messenger," receiving notifications on time is certainly important. We read about wxpusher, but in our country, there's a "small" problem - the absence of WeChat. :) Greetings from Russia. Maybe you can suggest a solution?
2. Plugins.
The approach that each user needs to install plugins individually is not entirely clear. We couldn't find an option to forcibly install a plugin for all existing and future users on our own.
3. LDAP.
This question arose during our heated debates and discussions. We see that you have implemented authorization via GitHub - and that's great! But since we would like to have the messenger within our company's perimeter, we are considering the possibility of integrating with our LDAP servers. I understand you haven't updated the project in a long time, but this would be a wonderful addition that would interest medium-sized businesses.
4. Admin Panel.
First of all, it's great that it exists. Well done! Secondly, it's even informative as it is now. We would like to see the ability to configure the running service more finely. For example, to set up SMTP settings, connect LDAP, and much more.
5. Interface Translation.
We see that you only have English and Chinese languages in the interface. Could you please tell us if there is any way we can start translating the interface into another language ourselves (in our case, into Russian)? We want to make the application more accessible for our colleagues because not everyone is proficient even in English.
Thank you very much for the work you've done. The project is very cool and promising. I hope you can answer at least some of my questions.
