here's my redirect - this used to work just fine, but now I just get the RedirectWeb page (with a broken image link)

Sorry for the inconvenience.

It's highly likely that this is caused by a Safari bug introduced in iOS 26.6. Apple has already fixed it internally, so a version after iOS 26.6.1 or macOS Safari 26.6.2 should include the fix. Would you please take another look once it becomes available?

Technical details

This appears to be a bug where Safari takes 10–20 seconds to load extensions after launch:

The bug reporter Jeffrey Kuiken is the developer of Noir. I can also confirm that the same issue occurs with Dark Reader.

If you use macOS, you can verify the fix in Safari Technology Preview 251.

Thanks Manabu. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I tried on Safari Technology Preview Release 251 (WebKit 21626.1.4.19.1) and still having the same issue. (I'm otherwise running MacOS/Safari 26.6.2)

Perhaps your rule is configured to apply only to specific browsers, and Safari isn't included? If the issue persists, could you please send me a video showing the issue and RedirectWeb's settings screen?

Thanks a lot for the information! I successfully reproduced the issue and found the cause. I’ll release a new version with a fix in the next few days.
From what I’ve observed, the issue occurs about 20% of the time for me. I wonder if it happens more or less frequently for you.
Technically, the bug has probably been there since April, but the recent Safari update may have made the issue more noticeable.
I'll update you once I release the new version.

Oh, then it's probably more critical than I thought. The bug depends on how frequently the browser changes the tab ID during a redirect, so how often it occurs can vary depending on the browser. It's also possible that certain browser settings or feature flags affect the behavior.
