Does the Agency Work Together?

Hi Guys,

I use OpenCode, Codex and Hermes.

I like the idea of the multi Agent teams coming together and I understand the principle.

In terms of operations though, do they all work together as one harness or do you need to manually select the agents each time?

The specialists can work as a team, but the coordination comes from the tool you're running them in. Installing Agency makes the definitions available; it doesn't start a team or connect OpenCode, Codex and Hermes to each other.

For your three tools, the current integrations work a little differently:

• OpenCode: invoke a specialist with @agent-name.
• Codex: reference the installed custom agent by name.
• Hermes: the agency-agents-router plugin can search the roster and load or delegate to a specialist as needed.

I'd start with one builder and one reviewer, with a clear handoff: “implement this, then have the reviewer check the result against these acceptance criteria.” You can give the lead that routing instruction up front, so you don't have to manually pick someone for every step.
