"Cannot Import File" error when importing SSH key from Files app

The app version 0.9.0 refuses to import my ssh key which I have airdropped to the iphone. When selecting the file, it always says

An error occurred importing file ''. Please make sure it is readable.

What can I do?

I also cannot share the key file via local http url, it still complains with a similar error. What format does the file have to have in order to import it? The app just says to cat the private key and that's it.

Only thing that worked for me is import via QR code.

I see the same error. Copy/paste works, but trying to load from a file yields the above error.

Using iOS 14.2 on an iPhone 7.

EDIT: For what it's worth, this appears to be resolved in recent TestFlight builds
