After a full relocation, I will have to re-assess my flashing circuit. Every time I put the breadboard back in my toolbox, I go through the annoying phase of rechecking connections. Unfortunately, even after checking these connections, the breadboard connections are so loose that the flashing program sometimes disconnects halfway through the flash and throws an error. This is likely the source of the corruption from when I was trying to dump cartridge data a year ago.
Thus, I am faced with the option to potentially design a shield that interfaces with my arduino. This could be a better option, however, the protoboard I have and the projector-cartridge slot don't quite line up hole-wise. I'll have to think of a work-around...
