Threw that first PCB away. Took all the components I could off of it. What a mess.

I had recently realized I could make an arduino shield with the protoboards that came with my last delivery. Its not going to look pretty, but it will get the job done.

My multimeter also broke last week -- the red lead fell off its cord. Luckily, I was able to solder it back on and it works again.

Additionally, last night my soldering iron broke almost the same way. All of a sudden there was a buzz and the iron shut off. After unplugging it I saw the cord sloughed off out the handle. I opened it this morning before work and saw that one of the leads burned its PCB around where it was attached. Regardless of how it happened, its toast. Now I'm in the market for a new soldering iron -- an adventure (undocumented), I'm sure.
