I gathered enough mental fortitude to tackle the circuit yet again. As per the pinout found on the PCB and the documentation of the p25d80sh flasher that an LLM spat out, I reconnected the wires. I think that part of my deterrence against trying to flash anything further is the sheer confusion I feel when looking at this circuit and trying to match it to the program an AI built. Serves me right for floating on an AI's product.
Unfortunately, I think I should be more methodical about building a documented and explicit pinout from the arduino to the cartridge so I dont want to cry every time I look at it.
I know I had managed to reconnect it previously after a previous dissassembly, but these past two times have flopped and have rendered me frustrated.
I will take a breath, and assert more control over the making of this app so I know what is really going on with the code. Then, I will make documentation simple enough that I can read it, gather the proper components, wire it up right the first time, and run the flasher successfully. I will not pretend I know how to code well, so handholding from AI will be helpful still. I just have to break it down into testable, manageable pieces.
Apologies for the delay. I feel that this snag has cost me months of progress as I deferred facing this bitter truth. Lets build a proper flasher!
