Laser shooting Gallary - Hardware

Thank you for the great repo of code for ESP's!

I am looking to make the laser shooting gallary for my daughters scout group- and hopefully extend it to send/receive specific IR codes to then allow two (or more!) players to play with different targets at the same time either as a team or vs mode.

First stumbling block is hardware choice.

I picked up a few Wemo D1 Mini's of aliexpress and managed to code the basic IR Coding on it, but took a few attempts with updates etc on Arundino. I also had to change some of the pin outs etc as it seems you have coded on a different ESP board.

I simply wanted to ask if you were able to let me know what boards you used so I can reduce the amount of stumbling blocks I come across (and not knowing if they are due to hardware or the changes I want to make!)

Secondly, I wanted to ask if any of the original video's of the setup were still available to help me understand the code/setup? I think many of the youtube videos are now private.
