Shot Score
Language: English | Deutsch
Each shot automatically receives a score from 0–100, shown in the top right of the profile view, as a colored pill in the sidebar, and on the GLP Lovelace card. The score is computed once by the app backend (lib/score.js) and served with each shot, so the web UI, the cards and the HA integration all show the same value.
| Color | Range | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Green | 88–100 | Excellent shot |
| Yellow-green | 75–87 | Good shot |
| Amber | 60–74 | Solid shot |
| Orange | 45–59 | Room for improvement |
| Red | 0–44 | Problematic shot |
| Factor | Weight | Optimum | Scoring |
|---|---|---|---|
| Extraction pressure | 25 % | 7–9.5 bar (avg of values ≥ 5 bar) | 100 at optimum, linear penalty outside |
| Temperature | 20 % | stable and on target | stability (σ) combined with accuracy vs the shot's target temperature (fallback band 90–96 °C when no target curve) |
| Shot duration | 20 % | 25–35 s | 100 at optimum, 82 at 20–25 s or 35–42 s |
| Dose → yield ratio | 20 % | 1:1.8 – 1:2.5 | Only when dose is entered in annotations |
| Extraction Yield (EY) | 20 % | 18–22 % (SCA "Golden Cup") | Only when TDS and dose are entered |
| Channeling | 15 % | no channeling | 100 (none) or 20 (detected) |
Pressure: The average is calculated only over values ≥ 5 bar to avoid penalizing the pre-infusion phase.
Ratio & EY: These factors are only included when the relevant annotations are present (dose for ratio; dose and TDS for Extraction Yield). Missing factors are dropped and the remaining weights are scaled proportionally.
Temperature: Combines stability (low σ) with how close the average temperature is to the shot's target. A perfectly stable but off-target shot (e.g. a boiler-off profile) no longer scores full on this factor.
Test shots: The score is not shown for shots without active extraction pressure (≥ 5 bar). Idle or aborted shots show no score pill.
A channeling event is detected when the pressure drops by more than 1.5 bar within a short window during the extraction phase. This penalizes the channeling factor heavily (100 → 20 points) and triggers a puck prep recommendation in the grind advice.
