  • Fold "turn with the phone" into the locate control The heading toggle no longer has a button of its own beside the locate one, so Support was telling people to tap something that is not there. It is the locate control's second tap now, and MapKit's own compass — which the old heading button used to sit on top of — ends it along with squaring the map up.

  • Put the new logo and tagline on the wiki The wiki had no mark at all, and opened by saying the tracks came from an Apple Watch — the wording the app itself and all six store listings have just been cleared of, and the reason for a 5.2.5 rejection. Adds the wordmark, light and dark, above a "Your routes on a map" tagline that matches the English App Store subtitle. Support's glossary now says a workout comes from whatever device you train with, which is what the app actually reads from Health. Images are referenced by raw.githubusercontent.com URL rather than a relative path: the wiki renderer does not resolve relative image paths reliably, and the route catalog already addresses wiki files this way.

  • Remove three more routes near the Cerdanya home The 4.26 km and 5.93 km Ger routes and the 10.20 km Cerdaña one, all starting within about 2 km of the Sanavastre doorstep. Not a cluster this time — individually too close. 3 routes removed, 190 remain. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

  • Drop the second doorstep route and every zero-length recording The two survivors of the Sanavastre thinning started 220 m apart, which is one doorstep rather than two — the shorter one goes. That leaves a single route within 1 km of it, which is a route someone happens to start near a village rather than a pattern. Also removes the three remaining zero-length recordings, at Carucedo and two in Yomitan. Same reasoning as the Cerdanya pair: a track that goes nowhere marks a spot and maps nothing. 4 routes removed, 193 remain. No zero-length recordings left. • Thin the Cerdanya start clusters to one route each Seventeen routes started within 350 m of the same spot near Sanavastre, two of them zero-length recordings that pinned it exactly. No single route breached the 1 km home filter from 0f46b2e; the cluster gave the place away regardless, which is what that rule does not catch. Keeps the longest route from each of five habitual start points and drops the rest, and removes both zero-length recordings outright — a track that goes nowhere is a doorstep with no route value. 21 routes removed, 197 remain. • Privacy-based home filtering, plus owner and date fields Exclude routes whose start OR finish is within 1 km of the Barcelona or Cerdanya home (replacing the coarse city-name exclusion); this prunes 2 finish-at-home leaks and lets non-home Barcelona/Cerdanya routes in (+73). Stamp every route with owner "Nowhere Man" and the date added. 254 routes. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com>

  • Rename to Routebox Rutalia was already taken on the App Store. The name went briefly to Box Routes before settling here, so these pages skip that step entirely. Nothing else changes: the previous commit already documented comparison, the six examples, and Health access being asked for on the Workouts tab rather than at launch.

  • Document route comparison, and the app as it now opens Rutalia no longer opens on Workouts, no longer asks for Health at launch, and ships six real example routes — the pages still described the app as it was before any of that. Adds the comparison feature throughout: routes against routes, routes against recorded workouts, and both drawn on one map with a profile each and an option to put them on a single scale. The FAQ gains the two questions it will actually raise — why the map zooms out so far, and why a workout pauses before it draws. Also notes that only workouts with a GPS route are listed, which is the likeliest reason someone thinks the list is missing sessions. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

  • Rename to Rutalia The app was called Workout on Maps. "Maps" is an Apple product name, and the submission was already rejected under 5.2.5 for Apple Watch terms in the subtitle — the name was the same class of risk, waiting to be found. Rutalia is invented from "ruta", so it reads in Spanish, Catalan, Italian and French and is pronounceable in English and German, carries no trademark, and is distinctive enough to be findable in App Store search in a way a generic word would not be. Also corrects the Home screen name, which these pages still described as "Entrenamientos" from before it was made consistent across locales. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

  • Finish documenting rotation, off-route bearing and the filter The previous commit landed with only Home.md changed: the privacy and support edits were anchored on unwrapped text and silently did not apply. Privacy gains the compass — the same location permission already described, but reading heading to rotate the map is a new use of it, and a policy listing what location is for should say so. Support gains how to tell whether you are on the route, how to rotate the map and turn it with the phone, and the Map tab's kind filter — including that the filter is how to reach a pin sitting underneath another, which happens when a route was imported from the same file as a workout. • Document rotation, off-route bearing and the map filter Adds what shipped since the last pass: rotating the full-screen map and turning it with the phone, the off-route distance and bearing arrow, the Map tab's kind filter, and the profile now carrying total distance and the selected point's distance from the start. The privacy policy gains the compass. It is the same location permission already described, but reading heading to rotate the map is a new use of it, and a policy that lists what location is for should say so. The filter FAQ mentions it is also how to reach a pin sitting underneath another, which is otherwise unreachable when a route was imported from the same file as a workout. • Stop documenting the Google Maps handoff, which was removed The privacy policy claimed a coordinate could reach Google, and linked Google's privacy policy. That is no longer true: the Google Maps buttons are gone and Apple Maps is the only app that receives anything. Leaving that in would have been a live privacy statement describing a third-party transfer that cannot happen — worse than an omission, since it invites a question with no answer. It now says so explicitly rather than going quiet, so a reader comparing versions can see the change was deliberate. Also records that the endpoint buttons collapse to one on a loop, that route import asks you to confirm the name and sport, and that the Map tab shows workouts and routes together with orange and blue pins. • Document directions, full-screen controls and the sticky marker Three features shipped since the last pass. The privacy policy said "four buttons" hand a coordinate to an external maps app; there are now six, so it no longer counts them. It also draws a distinction worth making: asking for directions passes one destination coordinate, and Apple Maps then works out the way there from your position using the permission you gave Maps — this app neither reads nor passes your position for that. Support gains how to get to a route's start, that the elevation marker now stays put after you lift your finger, and how to hide the profile and your position on the full-screen map. • Document the routes library and location access The app gained a fourth tab holding GPX/KML routes, which the pages did not mention at all. The privacy policy needed the most care: this is the first feature that touches location. It records that position is used only while the Routes map is open and only after the user taps locate, that it is computed on the device to find the nearest point on the route, and that it is never recorded or transmitted — no background tracking and no "Always" access. It also records that imported routes live in the app's own storage and are never written to Apple Health, unlike an imported workout. Support gains the distinction between a workout and a route, how to import one, and what the locate button does — including that beyond about 150 m it says you are off route rather than guessing. • Document import, delete, notes, tabs and the Map view The published privacy policy had become false. It stated the app "never writes, changes or deletes anything in Apple Health", but the app now saves imported GPX tracks to Health as workouts and can delete a workout and its route outright. The policy now describes both, and is explicit that write permission is requested at import time rather than at launch, and that normal browsing and exporting remain read-only. Effective date bumped accordingly. Also records that notes live in the app's own preferences on device rather than in Health, since Health has no notes field — they are not exported and never transmitted. Home and Support pick up the rest: the Workouts / Map / About tabs, sport filtering, the calendar, the all-routes map, GPX import, workout deletion, notes, and First Steps.
