Thanks for bringing this up! After reviewing the details, it seems like the behavior you’ve reported is actually expected and not a bug. We can understand how this might seem confusing, so we’ve added a note to clarify things.

In the latest version of the OpenAI Embeddings node, the base URL was removed from the node itself. Instead, whatever base URL was specified in the credentials is used

I'm encountering the same issue and would like to share two key observations:

1. In the official documentation for the n8n-nodes-langchain.embeddingsOpenAI node (https://docs.n8n.io/integrations/builtin/cluster-nodes/sub-nodes/n8n-nodes-langchain.embeddingsopenai/), the Node options section includes a Base URL field.
2. My use case requires integrating a self-hosted OpenAI-compatible model with a custom endpoint (e.g., https://xxx/embeddings/multimodal). To accommodate this, I suggest adding a URL parameter to the node options for greater flexibility.

This adjustment would enable seamless connectivity to non-standard API paths. Appreciate your consideration!
