Image hosting questions

Right now we hotlink images via the poster_image property of the Gist node. We ran into a problem with this page's poster image not showing up in the twitter cards:

It was using this image URL:
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/67/Eilean_Donan_Castle,_Scotland_-_Jan_2011.jpg

Could be because the image is large, or it could be a robots.txt issue on upload.wikimedia.org, the image wasn't showing up in the twitter card validator.

Maybe host with s3?
