Accidental Netbox Beta Upgrade

I accidentally upgraded my Netbox install to 4.6.0-beta1 with no backup available to revert to 4.5.8. I know the warning text states that there is no upgrade path to future releases, but wanted to clarify a couple questions anyway:

1. Is there a way I can downgrade back to 4.5.8?
2. If not, will I eventually be able to upgrade 4.6.0 beta to 4.6.0 final when that is released putting me back on "mainline"?

Fortunately, it doesn't look like we've needed to make any breaking changes to to the database migrations this beta cycle. You should be able to just "upgrade" to the final v4.6.0 when it gets released next week.

Probably best not to try it again in the future though. 🙂

Thanks. Fingers crossed. Yeah, I was using a messed up command (git describe --tags $(git rev-list --tags --max-count=1)) to check for the latest release and upgrade automatically instead of the command recommended in the upgrade documentation: git ls-remote --tags https://github.com/netbox-community/netbox.git | grep --only-matching 'refs/tags/v[0-9]*\.[0-9]*\.[0-9]*$' | tail --lines=1 | sed 's|refs/tags/||'

Lesson learned. Also, I need to add snapshots to my ansible execution :(
