Server Error when adding VM

Greetings,

I'm seeing Server Error every time I add vm. VM still gets added, but I can't figure out what it could be. The error is not descriptive enough.

Any assistance is appriciated.

I’m sorry you’re running into this. Since the VM is still being created, the error may be happening after the save step, for example while rendering the next page or triggering a plugin/customization.

To help the community troubleshoot, could you please share a bit more information?

• Which OS and deployment method are you using? For example, bare metal, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
• Have you upgraded NetBox recently?
• Have you installed or upgraded any plugins recently?
• Are you able to share the relevant traceback from the NetBox logs? Please make sure to remove any sensitive information first.
• Is there a specific reason you’re still on v4.5.0 instead of the latest v4.5 patch release, v4.5.10, or the current release, v4.6.4? Updating to the latest patch release may be a good first troubleshooting step. (If you decide to upgrade, please make sure to follow the official upgrade guide carefully and create a database backup before starting the upgrade.)
• Have you tried temporarily disabling plugins to see whether the issue still occurs?
• Do you have any custom fields, custom links, custom scripts, custom validators, or custom templates related to virtual machines?
• Does this happen only when adding a new VM, or does it also happen when editing an existing VM?
