Conflicts for identical files

Using the latest Nextcloud app from F-Droid (20220421), I recently (probably since I use android 12 but it might be unrelated) get a lot of conflict notifications where either the local file is 0 bytes (mostly from seedvault, I don't think this should happen) and from images where the local and server image are identical. This is really annoying as there isn't even a way to say that all conflicts should be resolved by taking the server version e.g.. When you have 50 conflicts, that's a lot of work.
So I'm filing that as a bug report, as I think that this behaviour is not intended to be this way, I hope it can be fixed.

Unfortunately that's now how bug reports work. This is clearly asking for an enhancement on conflict handling.

I also think this is a Bug. I activated auto upload and now the app creates a lot of notifications about conflicts. After 24 notification it stops uploading. I think the conflict are generated because some upload tasks crashed. After resolving some conflicts it starts uploading again, but stops shortly after. The more conflicts need to be resolved. The option to auto-resolve the conflicts seems not to work.

Part of the reason why I filed it as a bug was that this didn't happen before. I used to not have to worry about conflicts at all. But it the last two weeks, I have had this issue every couple of days.

It is very clearly a bug when a conflict is raised when the local and server file are identical. This is not a conflict, it's simply a duplicate that should be ignored. I.e. it's a sync NOOP.

p.s: I originally didn't understand your report correctly and the title was misleading, hence I misclassified it as an enhancement. sorry about that.

That's hard to say. It didn't happen very recently but even before, this didn't really happen regularly and was rather unpredictable.
Was there any change to the conflict resolution logic or something related that might have fixed this issue?

I can say my current Nextcloud app version is 20221001 on f-droid (and the original app version was 20220421) and I have to ask where I can see my nextcloud server version (I'm not hosting it myself), but I think it has an apache reverse proxy
My phone is a Pixel 4 with GrapheneOS, but it also happened to a friend of mine on stock android (Pixel 5 I think).

I am seeing duplicate notifications both for upload failed (also does not clear when the upload is successfully completed after retries), and upload conflicts (presumably from when the file upload/move into place completed, but the app wasn't notified)

Version 3.21.2 on Fairphone 4

Seems to happen more often when switching networks (4G - WiFi), or on spotty WiFi (moving out of coverage)
