I have tested if emojis are written to the DB correctly and they are. Export contains the emoji as well:

It would be nice to test in common 3rd-party clients if they correctly show up emoji, and how they behave if we use recently introduced emojis that they might not have support for.

Hello again :) I noticed that @jancborchardt was tagged to weigh in on the design. However, since we haven't heard back from them yet, I was wondering if it would be okay for me to proceed based on the mockup that you had done? Of course, I am happy to make any necessary changes once the official design is available.
