Bug description
When using the Nextcloud Desktop Client on macOS with the virtual files location under CloudStorage, folder loading in Finder is inconsistent. Sometimes newly opened folders load normally, and if I open several new folders in a row, all of them load correctly. However, most of the time this does not work at all, and then no newly opened folder loads in Finder.
In the failing state, even if I open multiple folders one after another, none of them display their contents. The folders show the cloud status icon in Finder, but the files inside are not loaded and Finder keeps showing the loading indicator instead of displaying the folder contents.
Cloud icon shown on affected folder while contents do not load:

Once a folder has loaded successfully, it usually works normally afterwards and does not need to be loaded again. The same Nextcloud account works without issues on my Windows PC, so the issue appears to be specific to macOS virtual files, Finder, or the file provider integration.
Steps to reproduce
- Open the Nextcloud location in Finder.
- Open a folder that has not been opened before.
- Sometimes the folder loads normally, and additional newly opened folders also load normally. But in many cases, once the problem appears, no newly opened folder loads anymore, even if several are opened one after another. Finder keeps showing the loading spinner, the folders keep the cloud icon, and no files appear.
Expected behavior
New folders (not opened before) in the macOS virtual files location should load reliably whenever they are opened in Finder. Finder should display the files after a short loading period instead of getting stuck in a loading state.
