Nextcloud mail desyncs very often

Steps to reproduce

Not quite sure but I'm running into it all the time.

Just received some emails that put an unread badge onto a mailbox, and I couldn't see them until I force-refreshed the mailbox.
Another mailbox also had an unread badge but there was no unread mail, even after refreshing.
The drafts mailbox often desyncs very badly, showing drafts that don't exist (showing an error when trying to delete them), or not showing ones that do.

Expected behavior

the UI should always reflect the current state of the mailbox

Actual behavior

it doesn't, mails are often invisible until the mailbox is force-refreshed

Hi @UltraBlackLinux,

newer versions of mail have a background job to automatically repair such mailboxes. Are you still seeing that problem?

Just yesterday I had the problem with the unread badge again. I saw an unread badge, but not the unread email. I had to use a different mail client to view the message because it was simply invisible. No matter how many times I tried force-refreshing and whatnot.

Thanks for your update. I assume you are not running Mail 4.0.9 any longer and thus would kindly ask you to update the initial post. In addition, we have a repair mailbox / folder option now. Mind giving it a try if that resolves the state when it occurs?

I did actually try repairing the mailbox as well, which unfortunately didn't change anything.
